Branding Guidelines

The Johns Hopkins Medicine brand represents a collection of elements used to express, represent, identify and differentiate Johns Hopkins from other health care providers. It embodies who we are in a clear, consistent way.

To protect our identity and distinguish ourselves from other institutions, we’ve developed guidelines surrounding the use of Johns Hopkins Medicine names, entities and logos. Brand consistency is created by having standards for print, web, digital, signs and other applications. This site lists examples of permitted and prohibited uses to help you correctly apply the Johns Hopkins Medicine brand and identity to your next project.

The Johns Hopkins logos are trademarked and may never be altered or combined with another organization’s name or logo. This includes, but is not limited to, vendors, technology licensees, research funders, donors, commercial or industry affiliated programs, members, and collaborators.
Or in a manner that endorses or implies endorsement of a non-Johns Hopkins entity, or programs, products or services by a non-Johns Hopkins third party, is prohibited.
