We can help you Faculty Startup Companies
Faculty, staff, students and trainees may not be quoted in third-party organization materials in the areas of their professional expertise. Exceptions may be made only in rare instances and in the case of faculty founders of startup companies (see below) with the written permission of an authorized JHM official. To seek permission or if you have questions, contact Kim Hoppe, director, public relations and corporate communications, or use the request form for branding and use of name.
Faculty founders of startup companies that are developing technology licensed from The Johns Hopkins University generally may be quoted in those companies' publicity material, such as news releases, provided that:
- There are prior review and approval of the proposed quote and any other uses of the Johns Hopkins name by an authorized Johns Hopkins official; and
- References to clinical research comply with the JHM Institutional Review Boards' Organization Policy on Press Releases and other Planned Publicity for Clinical Research Studies.
